A Rhesus Cat?

Not sure if it's the Rhesus Monkey who has the pink butt, but you get my drift~because I have discovered the Rhesus Cat, really, right here in Norwich, Ct. Right here in my own house, as it turns out! Imagine my surprise when I noticed Lola's bald spot on her lower belly. This is not visible from looking at the tummy, however. No! One has to have the distinct advantage (some would say not an advantage) but in any case, one must be looking at the back end of Lola, while she is stooping or bending forward...which most often would be her position at her food dish. And that is when u will find the round pink spot, that she has recently created. I was able to get a shot of it before she placed her belly on the floor. This new over groomed spot came as a result of us removing her plastic cone~ it was causing a sore on her neck. Boy do I count myself lucky that Thom was actually able to get her into an outfit because no sooner was her cone off than she started pulling out tufts of fur from her legs. Really. Now a few days later she is really busting out of her pink tee & she managed to get the trim off from one leg...I had to cut the trailing threads. Looks like the outfit is actually disintegrating before our eyes.

I am glad that she does seem to heal very quickly.

Much to my surprise the other night was when I walked into the bedroom to find not only the remains of what should have been in the litter box, but a real no kidding 3 inch skid mark! I didn't know cats could or would do this...Scoot their butts across the floor...just like the dog in the commercial! YES, my friends some do, Lola for one! (no photo to document)

Other wise we are doing fine :) Lola, does love watching the birds, and manages to get into locations Cali NEVER even considered. We are making progress where they are concerned, however! I am able to have them in the same room at one time...as long as Cali doesn't get too close, Lola just hisses & gives Cali a mean look!

Think Lola, wants to have a go at this, but will save that for next week!

  2. Dee,
You do remember what cat nip does to cats-it makes them go wild. It's like eating your joint instead of smoking it. Nice shot of the red spot, she really does have allergy probs. Glad to hear things are going smoother, all she needed was time. Love Gin

  3. hahaha mom you gotta catch her doing it, it's the funniest thing ive ever seen!!!! you want to stop her but at the same time you dont. most of the time when i know she is making some truffles i'd wait outside with some toilet paper, and konck her over to clean her butt as soon as she comes out =D

  4. and she's VERY good at finding different places to hide too. she gave me a heart attack quite a few times because i couldn't find her anywhere and thought she ran away. and she would ignore me no matter how many times i call her name, until i get so close that she thinks i see her already and she would say "brrruuuuuurrrr"

  6. Hi Dee, Echo,
What an unusually nice name for dingelberrys, at least that's what I call them. What's really bad is when you step on one in your barefeet oh no. Love Aunt Ginni
